LOVAAS is a project-based exhibition space with rotating shows. Our objective is to run a nimble, flexible, innovative gallery driven by artistic and curatorial initiative. As a gallery, we are not tied to the idea of exclusively representing artists and instead focus on creating an open environment that allows artists and curators the freedom to do shows without the typical commercial and career driven constraints. Lovaas Projects is a fresh link in the vibrant and ever-expending contemporary art scene in Munich.

Lovaas Projects also contributes to a vibrant and international arts community in Munich, by providing—at no or very low cost—five large furnished rooms above the gallery as a temporary living space for artists and curators. By radically decreasing the price, we seek to attract many more visiting curators and artists to the center of Munich. In collaboration with Kino der Kunst, Lovaas Projects provided temporary housing for six artists during Kino der Kunst 2017. Many other international artists have been guests at Lovaas Projects since its completion and enjoyed the well-furnished, art-filled, centrally located rooms.
